Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a senior security leader to own the security architecture of our AI platform in Austin, TX. You will drive security strategies across agent-based AI systems, manage risks, and lead red-team exercises to strengthen defenses while partnering with product and engineering teams.

The role requires 7+ years in product or platform security, deep AI risk knowledge, and hands-on security testing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product, application, or platform security with a focus on AI and agent-based systems.
• Deep understanding of AI security risks and mitigation strategies, including OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
• Hands-on security testing, red-teaming, and adversarial evaluations of AI systems.
• Experience integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle and working with engineering teams to drive secure design decisions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and promote best practices across distributed teams.

• Lead red-team exercises and adversarial testing to strengthen platform security and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to provide expert guidance on security risks and best practices.
• Develop and deliver training on secure coding, AI security, and responsible AI development.

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture of TeamViewer's AI platform, including agent integrations, tool access, context management, and action execution.
• Identify and mitigate security risks in AI systems, including prompt injection, unauthorized tool use, excessive permissions, data exposure, and other emerging threats.
• Design and implement permission, approval, and auditing frameworks for AI-driven actions performed on customer endpoints and tenant data.
• Build security controls into products and development processes, and create scalable solutions that can be adopted across engineering teams.
• Secure the AI development lifecycle, including AI-generated code, third-party dependencies, secrets management, and review processes.
• Lead red-team exercises and adversarial testing of AI capabilities, using findings to strengthen platform security and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to provide expert guidance on security risks and best practices.
• Develop and deliver training on secure coding, AI security, and responsible AI development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product, application, or platform security, with a strong focus on AI and agent-based systems.
• Deep understanding of current AI security risks and mitigation strategies, including frameworks such as the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
• Hands-on experience conducting security testing, red-teaming, and adversarial evaluations of AI systems.
• Programming experience in C++, along with familiarity with Java, C#, or Go, and Python for security automation and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of web applications, distributed systems, authentication, authorization, cryptography, and network security.
• Experience integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle and working closely with engineering teams to drive secure design decisions.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting security best practices across distributed teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
