Job summary

General Motors in Sunnyvale, California, seeks a Senior AI-Centric Release & Automation Software Engineer to design automation for release validation, CI/CD, and AI-enabled engineering workflows. You will collaborate with Release Engineers, DevOps, QA, and AI/ML teams to accelerate AV software development and release velocity.

You will build data pipelines, integrate simulation and hardware-in-loop testing, and define standards for scalable, observable automation.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience applying AI/ML/LLM-based solutions to engineering productivity and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation across development, testing, release, and operations workflows.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and LLM tools to improve productivity.
• Build AI-enabled test analysis, failure classification, and triage solutions.
• Develop scalable CI/CD integrations for simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Build data pipelines from engineering, QA, and release data into insights.
