Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of professional experience in corporate public affairs, government relations, policy or similar fast-paced environments.
• Experience translating technical policy or research into policy-ready materials.
• Experience designing and running a signature program or flagship campaign end‑to‑end.
• Ability to build structure where none exists amidst unclear ownership and shifting priorities.
• Willingness to work directly on the work, regardless of size.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of Anthropic’s highest-priority policy positions and materials.
• Drive organizational consensus on contested policy positions across multiple offices.
• Develop and test message framings for internal and external audiences.
• Translate technical research into policy-ready language for policymakers.
• Serve internal federal, state, and international affairs teams as a senior advisor.
• Lead cross-functional policy projects to resolution end-to-end.
• Stand up rapid-response playbooks for time-sensitive events.
• Ensure policy messaging is consistent with policy communications.
• Anticipate emerging issues and prepare materials in advance.
