Job summary

Anthropic, a public benefit AI company, seeks a strategic advisor to join the Strategic Advisory team within Policy Advocacy. This role targets an operator with 8–10+ years of experience to steer policy positions and deploy them with internal partners across fast-moving issues.

You will own position packages, translate technical research into policy-ready materials, and coordinate cross-functional strategy across policy, legal, comms, and research teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of high-priority policy positions and materials.
• Drive consensus on contested policy positions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and test policy message framings for diverse audiences.
• Translate technical research into policy-ready materials for policymakers.
• Serve as internal senior advisor to federal, state, and international teams.
• Lead complex cross-functional policy projects to resolution.
• Stand up rapid-response playbooks for time-sensitive events.
• Coordinate policy messaging across Anthropic’s surface area.
• Anticipate issues and prepare materials before external pressure.
