Job summary

Jack Henry is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to bridge AI proof-of-concept work and production engineering. You will scale AI prototypes, agents, and platform capabilities into enterprise-ready solutions while partnering with cybersecurity, cloud, architecture, and AI governance teams.

The role requires producing reliable, secure AI systems, mentoring engineers, and driving adoption of AI technologies across the organization. Hybrid work with some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Production ownership of AI systems (agents, features, MCP servers).
• Experience with a major cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end automated testing.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with LLMs or vector databases.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for meetings, training, and conferences.
• Self-directed and able to push through obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI prototypes into production-ready software and maintain reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-team collaboration for AI initiatives.
• Develop, test, and review applications based on requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and governance teams to ensure quality and compliance.
• Lead testing and evaluation to ensure production quality of AI systems and workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standards.
