Job summary

Stord is the consumer experience company powering seamless checkout through delivery for leading brands. This role focuses on building scalable Elixir-based platforms, integrating ML predictions, and delivering real-time data pipelines.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy AI-powered features within a robust distributed system. You’ll work across Elixir, TypeScript, and Python, emphasizing reliability, performance, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Expert Elixir/Phoenix development with 2+ years production experience.
• TypeScript proficiency with 2+ years.
• Distributed systems with fault tolerance and OTP patterns.
• API design and RESTful/event-driven architectures.
• Database expertise: PostgreSQL; AlloyDB preferred.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Cloud platforms: GCP preferred, AWS or Azure.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build AI platform integration services using Elixir that consume ML predictions.
• Develop real-time data pipelines (Kafka) for feeding ML models.
• Create AI-powered features: demand planning, routing, anomaly detection, and recommendations.
• Design scalable platform architecture with monitoring and observability.
• Mentor engineers on AI tooling and integration patterns.
