Job summary

Anaconda, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to join our expanding team and accelerate opportunities in data science and AI.

You will manage inbound leads, collaborate with the sales team, and help drive targeted outbound campaigns from idea generation to qualified calls. You will research accounts, identify key players, and develop strategies to stimulate opportunities while maintaining a robust, data-driven sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Business Development.
• Highly competitive, achievement-oriented, motivated, and driven to exceed goals.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone and written communication, as well as active listening.
• Experience prospecting into multi-threaded Enterprise-level accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for account research and prospecting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize inbound leads to ensure timely and effective follow-up.
• Work with the sales team to develop and lead targeted outbound campaigns from idea generation through to qualified calls.
• Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity.
• Proactively organize and maintain the sales pipeline, keeping detailed records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the conversion rate of meetings to opportunities, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices.
• Use AI tools to identify and prioritize buying signals across target accounts, including data role hiring patterns, GitHub activity, tech stack shifts, and funding events.
• Build AI-assisted account research briefs prior to first contact, synthesizing a prospect's AI strategy, current tooling, and likely pain points to inform outreach and discovery.
• Leverage AI to map personas within target accounts (data scientists, ML engineers, IT/security, procurement) and develop role‑tailored messaging for each stakeholder.
