Job summary

EY is hiring a Senior AI Platform Architect in the United States to shape a scalable, portable AI foundation across cloud and edge environments. You will own the platform strategy, run it as a product, and enable model access with secure, policy-driven gateways.

You will lead architecture decisions, ensure reliability, and balance cost with performance while collaborating with security, risk, and finance partners. Up to 50% travel and hybrid office needs are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform capabilities.
• Experience designing and operating cloud and AI production workloads.
• Proven record building a shared platform used by multiple product teams.
• Deep cloud architecture experience with portable patterns for hybrid or multi-cloud.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction, architecture, roadmap, and non-functional standards across cloud, hybrid, and edge environments.
• Run the platform as a product; define service tiers, golden paths, and measure adoption and value.
• Enable portable model access with gateways, stable contracts, and policy-aware routing.
• Architect elastic foundations for compute, storage, and network for AI workloads.
• Automate delivery with repeatable patterns, progressive release, rollback, and evidence.
• Define trusted runtimes; secure execution patterns for tools, identities, isolation, and replay.
• Engineer for reliability with service objectives, observability, recovery, and resilience testing.
• Make economics visible by connecting usage, performance, and quality signals.
• Guide build-versus-buy and portability decisions with cross-functional partners.
• Mentor platform engineers and raise engineering capability across teams.
