Job summary

Tulip is investing in enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate delivery, enable self-service technology, and help teams solve meaningful business problems faster. The Senior AI Engineer - Tulip Platform is a hands‑on role responsible for designing, building, and operating Tulip and related AI platform capabilities.

The focus is deep technical execution: contributing to architecture and engineering standards, and mentoring peers through design discussion and code review.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with architecture, platform delivery, or complex enterprise systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with AI-enabled systems, including LLMs, RAG, agent/workflow orchestration, model integration and guardrails.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, Helm).
• Experience translating business objectives into technical designs and executable work.
• Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across multiple workstreams.
• Experience securing enterprise services and AI integrations (OAuth 2.0, OpenID, secrets management).
• Strong communication skills with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Tulip architecture, patterns, and technical standards for scalable enterprise use.
• Deliver hands-on AI platform capabilities including orchestration, RAG, agents, integrations, evaluation and observability.
• Ensure production readiness and adoption by solution teams.
• Collaborate with engineers across workstreams to surface dependencies and risks.
• Document and share knowledge to strengthen how the team builds and operates AI solutions.
• Translate strategic AI objectives into technical outcomes enabling self-service delivery.
