Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Cambridge, MA / Warsaw, Poland to provide deep technical leadership for AI software platforms and cloud-based deployment patterns for Supply Chain and enterprise Digital.

You will own end-to-end architecture and delivery strategy for AI/data products, including lakehouse patterns, MLflow lifecycle, and vector search, with a focus on scalable, compliant production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent deep technical experience.
• 7+ years in software, data, or AI engineering with production ML/GenAI experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Java/Scala/TypeScript a plus.
• Frontend and backend engineering experience with modern frameworks and APIs.
• Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems with guardrails.
• Cloud architecture experience on AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC practices.
• Experience in regulated environments with GxP and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and reference architecture for AI software delivery and GenAI apps.
• Lead cloud deployment standards across dev, test, and production environments.
• Build and review APIs, orchestration patterns, and reusable platform components.
• Establish engineering practices for AI/ML/LLMOps, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
• Guide integration of SAP and enterprise data into trusted data products and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security, compliance, and enterprise standards.
• Mentor engineers across regions and foster a center of excellence for AI/Automation.
