First American is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AI-driven features for the Title & Settlement Platform. You will own end-to-end development, from prototyping to production, using modern cloud-native architectures.

You will work with product, AI/ML, and solution architects to translate business problems into scalable, observable systems. The role emphasizes mentorship and improving engineering velocity while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building production-grade systems.
• Proven track record deploying LLM-powered features to production.
• Experience designing agentic, autonomous systems with memory and tooling.
• Strong backend services and API development using modern languages.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices.
• Understanding of LLM operational concerns, latency, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of LLM-powered features from prototype to production.
• Design autonomous agent architectures and orchestration layers.
• Develop scalable backend services and secure APIs.
• Collaborate with product and AI/ML teams to validate outcomes.
• Establish evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for production AI.
• Mentor peers and promote modern engineering practices.
