Job summary

First American is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, build, and deployment of AI-native systems that power our Title & Settlement platform. You will own 0→1 development of LLM-powered features, architect agentic systems, and build scalable back-end services and APIs in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade systems.
• Experience taking LLM-powered features from prototype to production (0→1).
• Hands-on with agentic systems including planning, memory, and orchestration.
• Strong backend services and APIs using modern languages and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of LLM-powered features from prototyping to production deployment.
• Design autonomous agent architectures with tools, memory, and guardrails.
• Contribute to scalable, fault-tolerant backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with product, AI/ML teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Ensure secure, observable, and production-ready AI systems.
• Mentor peers and advocate modern engineering practices.
