Job summary

EY is seeking senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems embedded with clients in regulated environments. You will own delivery outcomes from shaping to deployment, balancing innovation with security and FinOps constraints.

You will write production-quality code, collaborate across platform, security, and governance teams, and continuously improve delivery patterns for complex, data-intensive applications in finance, tax, and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software systems in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI application stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code that operates under compliance, performance, and reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from shaping to deployment and sustainment.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows, agentic systems, and orchestration using approved platform capabilities.
• Write and review production-quality code aligned with enterprise standards.
• Balance functionality, safety, cost, and timeline with clear explanations to stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints with governance input.
• Capture field learnings and feedback to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to enable repeatable delivery patterns.
