Job summary

Life360 is hiring an AI-Native Senior Software Engineer II to shape AI-driven engineering across the Verticals team. You’ll design and ship features for aging parents, enabling safe, connected experiences on backend and native mobile apps, while advancing AI-native workflows and playbooks.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teammates to raise the bar across the org.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building consumer-scale services.
• Hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
• Full-stack proficiency across backend and mobile clients.
• Deep experience with agentic workflows and context management.
• Track record using AI tools as a development partner.
• Strong ownership and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent communication with product, design, and platform engineers.
• Interest in defining AI-native engineering patterns.

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end features across backend and mobile surfaces.
• Work with AI-native tools and orchestrate agent workflows.
• Define and codify AI-native engineering practices.
• Build scalable experiences for aging-in-place users and related verticals.
• Own code from initial line to production and on-call support.
• Collaborate with product and design to solve complex problems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews.
• Mentor teammates and improve team processes.
