Job summary

Life360 is hiring an AI-Native Senior Software Engineer II to build and own premium features and monetization surfaces behind Life360 membership. You will ship end‑to‑end features for 100M+ monthly users, focusing on AI-native tooling, scalability, and reliability.

You will collaborate with product, design, data science, and analytics to turn hypotheses into shipped work, while mentoring teammates and driving architectural decisions that improve quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Android software engineering experience shipping production apps at consumer scale.
• Cross-platform, including 1+ year of AI-assisted iOS development.
• Experience with in-app billing and subscription platforms (Google Play Billing and StoreKit).
• Strong proficiency with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; familiar with Android tooling (Android Studio, Coroutines, Flow).
• Experience with MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Jetpack/ViewModel/Navigation, Hilt or Dagger on large codebases.
• Comfort with mobile experimentation concepts (feature flags, A/B testing, guardrail metrics).
• CI/CD for Android and modular builds; tooling like Gradle, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise.
• LLM-powered agentic systems, prompt engineering, and context-window optimization.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain premium features behind Life360 membership with high quality and reliability.
• Own pricing, packaging, and surface design for subscriptions, upsells, and IAP flows.
• Ensure ads experience quality and performance impact across the app.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and analytics to turn hypotheses into shipped work.
• Work with AI tools as a first-class collaborator to generate specs, code, tests, and reviews.
• Deliver polished, scalable experiences to 100M+ users with strong startup-time, memory, and stability considerations.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering processes with an AI-native focus.
• Participate in on-call and incident response for premium features and releases.
• Mentor engineers and help evolve the team's AI-native practices.
