Job summary

Life360 is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II — Mobile focusing on Revenue Experimentation and AI-native workflows. This Android-focused role centers on delivering growth and monetization experiments across the Life360 app, with an emphasis on AI-assisted tooling to design, code, test, and deploy changes.

You'll work closely with product, design, data science, and analytics teams to turn hypotheses into running experiments, optimizing paywalls, pricing tests, and user experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• >6+ years of Android software engineering experience shipping production apps at consumer scale.
• -At least 1 year of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
• -Strong proficiency with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (and the Android View system).
• -Experience with Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Jetpack/ViewModel/Navigation, Hilt or Dagger).
• -Familiarity with mobile experimentation concepts (A/B testing, feature flags, exposure logging).
• -Solid grounding in mobile performance, memory, battery, ANR, and crash diagnostics.
• -CI/CD for Android (Gradle, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise) and modular builds.
• -Agency, ownership mentality, and collaboration are valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality Android growth and monetization features and experiments.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and analytics to translate hypotheses into shippable experiments.
• Work with AI tooling as a first-class collaborator to create specs, generate code and tests, verify results, and review.
• Instrument experiments with exposure logging and analytics for reliable results.
• Ship polished Android experiences with attention to startup time, memory, battery, and crash-free rates.
• Own staged rollouts end-to-end and monitor guardrails for scaling decisions.
• Help define AI-native Android engineering practices and playbooks for the mobile org.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and continual improvement on the Android codebase.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for mobile experiments.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team processes and standards.
