Job summary

Zenara Health is seeking a Senior AI-Native Product Engineer to lead end-to-end features in a fast-moving startup setting. You will design, implement, and review AI-assisted coding tasks, maintaining architecture, tests, security, and production behavior.

You will work remotely from India with overlap in US Pacific hours, using AI agents to accelerate delivery while preserving engineering judgment. You’ll mentor juniors and help define AI-native standards across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience using AI coding agents for multi-step development.
• Ability to read, debug, and fix code without AI.
• Ownership of production systems and incidents.
• Comfort across frontend, backend, data, and infra concerns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain features across Zenara’s clinical products.
• Own features end to end from requirement to production.
• Use AI coding agents to accelerate implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Review AI-generated changes with the skepticism of a senior engineer.
• Debug and fix code manually when AI output is wrong.
• Build and validate tests that prove the feature works.
• Own production issues in your area: diagnose, fix, document, and prevent recurrence.
• Mentor and review work from junior engineers.
• Raise risks early, keep tickets current, and prevent delivery surprises.
• Help define Zenara’s standards for AI-native engineering and production readiness.
