U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to lead the development of modern web applications with a strong backend and ML focus. You will own features end-to-end, from design to deployment, in a fast-paced, agile environment.

This role requires collaboration across Product, Design and partner teams, with emphasis on performance, security and reliability. GenAI and ML platform engineering experience are highly valued for driving the bank’s technology transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain products.
• Take full stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code.
• Adhere to architectural best practices, focusing on scalability, reliability and performance.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements.
• Make sound design decisions prioritizing customer experience.
• Participate in code reviews to enforce engineering best practices.
• Ensure all aspects of development follow compliance and security best practices.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and partner teams to deliver well-engineered experiences.
