Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Lead Engineer (Generative AI) to architect, build, and operationalize enterprise GenAI solutions.

You will lead design and implementation of GenAI systems using LLMs, RAG, and agentic architectures, with hands-on work on LangChain, LangGraph, and cloud platforms. Strong leadership, security, and scalable system design are essential as you guide teams through end-to-end GenAI lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or AI/ML solutions
• 2+ years hands-on experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG) and vector databases
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI concepts and frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture patterns
• Proficiency in Python and microservices-based development
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions at enterprise scale
• Lead end-to-end GenAI lifecycle: architecture, integration, deployment, monitoring
• Leverage LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, and Foundry Agent Service
• Ensure security, reliability, and cost efficiency in deployments
• Mentor senior engineers and translate business needs into scalable tech solutions
