Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Software Engineer to advance our technology initiatives in the digital transformation journey. You will analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain software and AI-enabled products, collaborating across teams and with a strong emphasis on DevOps and security.

The role requires leading projects, building AI-powered features, and integrating vector databases, with work-from-site expectations three days per week at a U.S. Bank location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Six to eight years of relevant software engineering experience.
• 10+ years of overall software development in Python and Java or OO languages.
• 3+ years of leading software projects with enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining software and AI-enabled products.
• Develop production-ready, testable code for components, services, and AI workflows.
• Assist in building and integrating Generative AI solutions, including RAG pipelines with vector databases.
• Support development and enhancement of agentic AI systems with guardrails.
• Follow architecture patterns for scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality.
