Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a senior AI/Native Engineering Manager to lead data science and big data initiatives for Power & Utilities clients. You will guide teams delivering scalable AI/ML solutions, collaborate with clients, and translate analytics into actionable insights across regulated environments.

You will work with diverse data sources (SCADA, AMI, GIS, EAM) and ensure governance, security, and compliance while driving innovation and business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
• 6–10 years of AI, data science, or ML experience.
• 2–4 years of experience managing technical teams.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms and production AI/ML.
• Familiar with Generative AI models and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps) and Jira CI/CD.
• Experience with ML Ops and data ingestion/transformation.
• Experience delivering analytics in asset-intensive environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstream delivery and ensure effective project management.
• Identify innovative solutions through research and analysis.
• Manage professional staff and supervise teams delivering complex initiatives.
• Engage with clients and lead workstreams from planning to closure.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and manage engagement economics.
• Design and deliver AI/ML use cases for Power & Utilities (asset health, outage prediction, forecasting, etc).
• Work with SCADA, AMI, GIS, EAM, OMS, CIS data sources and integrate into analytics platforms.
• Support moving AI solutions from pilots to production with regulatory, audit, and data governance alignment.
