Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal AI Platform Engineer to build and scale next‑generation AI infrastructure across on‑premise private cloud, enabling high‑performance, low‑latency AI workloads at enterprise scale.

You will own the AI infrastructure roadmap, partner with data science, MLOps, and security teams, and influence senior leadership to fund and guide long‑term platform evolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Experience owning infrastructure roadmaps and delivering at scale.
• Experience with on-premise or private cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures and their infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI infrastructure roadmap for on‑premise private cloud and lifecycle management.
• Act as product owner translating data science needs into scalable platform capabilities.
• Architect and scale infrastructure for training large models with real-time and batch inference at enterprise scale.
• Collaborate with data science, MLOps, security, and governance teams to align infrastructure with AI lifecycle stages.
