Job summary

Mastercard in the United States is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and deploy AI-enabled solutions that transform regulatory and risk management activities. This hands-on role covers model development, prompt engineering, deployment automation, observability, and governance.

You will work across TREx and TRMC teams, applying LLMs, RAG and cloud-native AI services to deliver measurable improvements while meeting security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software, machine learning, or automation solutions.
• 3+ years deploying enterprise AI in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI development.
• Experience building cloud-based enterprise applications.
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, testing, deployment and support for AI solutions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI/ML solutions for TREx operations.
• Develop prototypes and production-ready AI applications for regulatory needs.
• Implement generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector databases and enterprise AI platforms.
• Translate business needs into scalable AI architectures and services.
• Develop reusable AI services, automation templates, and accelerators.
• Build and optimize ML models with evaluation metrics and governance.
