Job summary

Mastercard in the United States seeks a Principal AI Security Engineer to define and advance enterprise AI security strategy and lead scalable, secure AI architectures. You will guide risk management, threat modeling, and secure development across AI systems, collaborating with engineering, data science, product, and security teams to implement security-by-design across the AI lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in information security, including AI security, application security, or security architecture at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in AI technologies, machine learning systems, large language models, AI agents, data protection, and secure software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise AI security architecture strategy, establishing security frameworks and reference architectures.
• Define and champion enterprise methodologies and assessment frameworks for evaluating AI systems against evolving threats.
• Establish security requirements for the AI development lifecycle, embedding security-by-design into AI initiatives.
