Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to raise reliability, scalability, and performance of AI authoring products. You will drive DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and robust deployment pipelines, while shaping infrastructure and experiments across Azure, Google Cloud, and on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with product and design teams to define architecture, implement scalable backend solutions, and enhance observability with monitoring and analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping complex software at scale.
• Hands-on with cloud backends using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven observability and monitoring experience with Grafana, logs, alerts, and tracing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment across teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Exposure to ML infrastructure or LLM inference deployment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, design, and engineering to influence the roadmap.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions for Unity AI and backend platforms.
• Design and implement scalable solutions for Unity AI products and editor integrations.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability, security, and cost-efficiency of backend systems.
• Promote code through development to production with IaC and Kubernetes best practices.
