Job summary

Unity is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate the platform behind an internal AI product analytics agent, and the shared services other teams at Unity build on. The role focuses on backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure on GCP, with emphasis on reliability, cost efficiency and security at scale.

You will design and operate distributed systems, own authentication and authorization, and contribute to agent capability work including orchestration and data retrieval.

Qualifications

• Design, build and operate distributed systems in production.
• Strong backend and systems engineering, API design and production operations.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and GCP.
• Experience with authentication, authorization or access control in systems handling sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services, APIs and tooling.
• Own access control and data security for the platform.
• Raise the engineering bar: CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Support agent capability work including orchestration and retrieval.
• Set roadmap and technical direction for the platform.
