Unity Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of AI authoring tools. You will shape infrastructure, deploy with IaC and Helm, and improve observability across Unity AI platforms.

The role focuses on designing scalable backend systems, cloud deployments on Azure/GC, and close collaboration with product and design teams to drive the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping complex, user-facing software products at scale.
• Experience delivering cloud backend services using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipelines (Argo, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven observability, monitoring, logging, alerting and debugging skills (Grafana, etc.).
• Strong software delivery, security practices and a quality-first mindset.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Influence product roadmap with product, design and engineering teams.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions for Unity AI and backend platforms.
• Design and implement scalable Unity AI products and backend services.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability, security and cost-efficiency of backend systems.
• Run spikes for infrastructure needs on Azure and Google Cloud.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code, Helm deployments and best practices for Terraform Cloud and Kubernetes.
