Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own and improve analytics datasets and ETL pipelines supporting an internal AI product analytics agent. You will work with data scientists and analysts to enhance retrieval, knowledge, and evaluation systems, while building backend workflows and user-facing features for analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production systems experience.
• Hands-on data engineering with SQL, data modelling, and data pipelines.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse, ideally BigQuery.
• Familiarity with LLM/agent systems or a strong interest in them.
• Comfort working without a fully specified brief and delivering usable results early.
• Desire to work closely with data scientists and analytics users to shape the product.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve analytics datasets/queryable by the AI agent, including data modelling and metadata.
• Build and maintain ETL/transform pipelines feeding the datasets; ensure correctness and freshness.
• Improve knowledge retrieval and context construction for the agent; enhance prompt history.
• Develop backend agent workflows for prompt handling and orchestration.
• Create user-facing features to speed analytics workflows for technical and non-technical users.
• Collaborate with data scientists to turn recurring analytics needs into reusable capabilities.
• Help set roadmap and technical direction for data quality and platform.
