Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI systems for mortgage Fulfillment. You will own end-to-end architecture, drive technical decisions, and implement robust eval and observability frameworks to ensure reliable, scalable workflows in a regulated mortgage environment.

This is an individual contributor role focused on multi-step AI agents coordinating document collection, condition clearing, and closing

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in a modern cloud environment.
• Experience owning an AI/ML system in production end-to-end with accountability for correctness, cost, and reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build production-grade agentic AI systems for mortgage Fulfillment.
• Own architecture of end-to-end workstreams and surface tradeoffs.
• Build eval frameworks to measure reliability, accuracy, and task completion.
• Architect and operate core agent infrastructure, including model serving and prompt pipelines.
• Integrate with Encompass and DocuTech within their constraints.
• Collaborate with Encompass admins, Fulfillment operations, and Platform engineers.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
