Zillow Group Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to build agentic AI systems for mortgage Fulfillment. You will own end-to-end design, from agent architecture to evaluation frameworks and core infra, delivering reliable, scalable workflows in a regulated mortgage environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field; equivalent experience acceptable
• 8+ years of software engineering in cloud environments
• Proven ownership of an AI/ML system in production
• Experience with eval pipelines and multi-step AI workflows
• Experience with third-party platform integrations
• Strong infra instincts and reliability focus
• Ability to measure and improve systems

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems for mortgage Fulfillment
• Develop eval frameworks to measure reliability, accuracy, and task completion
• Architect and operate core agent infra including model serving and prompts pipelines
• Integrate with third-party platforms like Encompass and DocuTech
• Collaborate with Fulfillment operations and Platform engineering teams
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions
