Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer for Yahoo Mail web engineering. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, architect scalable web components, and drive AI-assisted workflows across the web product.

You will apply strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and modern web technologies (React, Node.js, TypeScript) and collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional partners to push platform improvements at global scale.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience, with 6+ years in high-scale web apps.

Responsibilities

Lead feature design, development, and end-to-end delivery for Yahoo Mail web products.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate implementation while preserving architecture, quality, and security.
Identify AI-driven lifecycle efficiencies and automate repetitive tasks.
Balance AI outputs with manual review to prevent vulnerabilities and performance regressions.
Own end-to-end technical ownership of key Yahoo Mail components at scale.
Collaborate with PMs, UX, and cross-functional partners for platform improvements.
Write clean, testable code and deploy and monitor large-scale production systems.
Mentor engineers and evaluate new tooling to stay at the tech forefront.
