Job summary

SamCart Inc. is seeking a senior full-stack engineer who will own end-to-end system design and production delivery in a highly AI-assisted environment. You will guide architecture, review agent-generated code, and ship robust features within a fast-moving startup.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership, ensuring pragmatic delivery while balancing scope and cost. Remote-friendly with East Coast bias; Charleston, SC is preferred for occasional in-person

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and shipping production web applications.
• Deep expertise in at least one domain or system.
• Architecture-capable, execution-biased.
• AI-native—using Claude as a teammate.
• Mentoring and improving how the team builds.
• Full-stack and comfortable in someone else's codebase.
• Located on the East Coast (US), ideally Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Take a problem from a loose brief to shipped and stable, with AI doing most coding.
• Make architecture calls in a PHP codebase and a React/Next.js frontend to extend, refactor, or evolve.
• Review AI output with a senior engineer mindset: fast, skeptical, specific.
• Own your work in production: ship, monitor, and fix as needed.
• Improve how the team builds: AI workflows, MCP tooling, tests ensuring safe agent-writen code.
