Job summary

Samsara is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II for its Developer Experience team. You will help build an AI-enabled software factory that automates the outer-loop of the SDLC, enabling AI-assisted PR approvals, reviews, and deployment checks across the company.

The role is remote in the United States, with relocation not offered. You will push AI-driven tooling to improve speed, safety, and reliability while scaling systems for thousands of developers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building software products.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years on developer experience, CI/CD, or platform engineering.
• Experience in building AI workflows and AI-driven automation.
• Proven track record architecting CI/CD systems and deployment platforms.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise software and DevEx.

Responsibilities

• Scale in-house CI/CD systems and AI-driven pipelines.
• Reduce tech debt with efficient AI workflows.
• Design deployment safeguards for production at scale.
• Build observability, evaluation, and feedback systems for AI automation.
• Lead as a tech leader; set high standards for peers.
• Collaborate with product engineering to reduce toil and enable safe AI delivery.
