Genius AI is building AI-powered products to help local businesses operate more efficiently. The Applied AI team embeds with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ship impactful agentic systems and scale them across the company.

You will be the team's first engineering manager, spending a portion of your week hands-on. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters or San Francisco office, with in-office presence 3–4 days a week as required.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership.
• Experience shipping agentic AI systems with real users.
• Ability to measure team use of AI with concrete metrics.
• Proven ability to align engineering work with business outcomes like pipeline or revenue.
• Comfort building processes where none exist.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Ops.

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead a lean engineering team.
• Drive go-to-market outcomes (outbound replies, demos, deals) and align with executives.
• Run sprint cycles with demos and durable handoffs to partner teams.
• Establish best-in-class evals for AI products and share learnings.
• Route to the right models: frontier first, open-weight when mature.
• Collaborate with DevEx to standardize practices and documentation.
• Communicate progress and priorities to leadership and stakeholders.
