Job summary

Bain & Company seeks an Expert Senior Manager / Associate Partner AI Engineer to architect and scale next-gen generative AI systems for clients. You will lead from research to production, bridging engineering, product, data science, and ethics, while partnering with Bain teams and ecosystem partners on real deployments.

You’ll shape AI strategy, governance, and responsible AI practices, driving impact across enterprise programs with strong mentorship and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, or applied AI roles with hands-on building responsibilities.
• Experience leading complex, multi-stack generative AI programs from conception through production.
• Strong executive communication skills for translating technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Track record of leading engineering teams and mentoring technical talent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end generative AI systems and multi-agent workflows.
• Architect multi-component pipelines including RAG, fine-tuning, embeddings, and hybrid retrieval.
• Lead research, experimentation, and production deployment of AI solutions.
• Oversee API development, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native deployment.
• Mentor teams on best practices like prompt engineering, RAG, and HITL processes.
