Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking an Expert Senior Manager / Associate Partner AI Engineer to architect, build, and scale next‑generation generative AI systems for clients. You will lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, product, data science, ethics, and client stakeholders, guiding projects from research to production deployment.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, or applied AI with hands‑on building responsibilities.
• Experience leading complex, multi‑stack generative AI programs from conception through production.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders and lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end‑to‑end generative AI systems and multi‑agent workflows.
• Architect multi‑component pipelines including RAG, fine‑tuning, embedding generation, and hybrid retrieval.
• Integrate reasoning, tool use, function calling, and orchestration across workflows.
• Lead research, experimentation, evaluation design, and production deployment.
• Oversee API development, microservices, CI/CD, observability, and cloud deployment.
• Build GenAIOps processes for automated testing, latency monitoring, and continual improvement.
• Balance performance, safety, and cost with guardrails and HITL workflows.
