Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer based in the United States to lead design and delivery of AI-powered applications that solve complex business challenges and deliver customer impact.

As a senior individual contributor, you will combine hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, guiding small engineering teams through production-grade AI capabilities while shaping architecture and driving projects from concept to production in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production systems.
• Strong Python and modern backend engineering skills.
• Experience leading engineering projects or small teams, with architecture, mentorship, and delivery.
• Hands-on production AI experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, or retrieval systems.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead small engineering teams to design and deliver complex AI initiatives.
• Own technical execution from architecture to deployment and operations.
• Translate requirements into clear technical plans and milestones.
• Drive architectural discussions and assess technical trade-offs.
• Contribute production code and collaborate with product and business stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
