Job summary

Syllo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI to build production-scale AI-powered features using LLMs, focusing on reliability and scalability. You will own end-to-end feature development and work to integrate models with existing APIs and front-end services.

You will implement guardrails, testing, and performance optimizations while collaborating with product managers and engineers in a fast-moving, remote-friendly team across the United States.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Python for backend and data processing.
• Strong system design with distributed architectures.
• Experience building AI-powered products in production.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production environments.
• Ability to read and navigate unfamiliar codebases quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-level AI features with reliability and scalability.
• Implement guardrails, validation, caching, and failover for LLMs.
• Build idempotent, resumable batch processing pipelines.
• Optimize latency, throughput, and cost for AI services.
• Integrate models and data feeds with business logic and APIs.
• Define evaluation criteria for AI feature outputs and quality.
