Job summary

T. Rowe Price is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its AI Engineering team, focusing on designing and deploying production-grade AI agents and intelligent systems. You will lead technical workstreams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product owners to scale AI solutions.

The role emphasizes practical AI engineering, instrumenting observability, and building reusable patterns across teams, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to influence cross-firm AI initiatives.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field, with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on development in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience building AI-enabled applications and agentic systems using modern LLMs and AI frameworks.
Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, and modern delivery practices.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design and delivery of production-grade AI agents and intelligent systems.
Design agentic workflows using orchestration, tool integration, and retrieval-based systems.
Lead technical workstreams from rapid experimentation to production adoption.
Establish evaluation, testing, and monitoring for non-deterministic AI systems.
Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable AI capabilities across teams.
