T. Rowe Price, a premier global asset manager, is hiring for an AI Engineering role to lead architecture, delivery, and scale of production AI agents and intelligent systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business partners across locations, guiding technical direction and adoption of AI frameworks. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software engineering, strong OO languages, cloud-native experience, and a passion for advancing AI with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field with 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on software engineering in OO languages like Python/Java/TypeScript, including leading delivery across teams.
• Deep hands-on experience designing AI-enabled systems and intelligent workflows in production or near-production environments.
• Expertise in modern AI engineering patterns: orchestration, tool calling, retrieval-based systems, evaluation, observability, guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, deployment, and evolution of complex production-grade AI agents and intelligent systems.
• Set technical direction for AI solutions considering models, data, latency, cost, and security.
• Lead teams through complex AI problems from experimentation to production
• Define and evolve engineering standards for production AI including testing, observability, and guardrails
• Mentor engineers to raise bar on architecture and execution
• Drive Build-Operate-Transfer of AI products for long-term ownership and scale
• Ensure AI systems meet quality, production readiness, and safe deployment
