Aether Biomedical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to translate broad product requirements into scalable solutions and own features end-to-end in a remote, AI-first environment.

You will defend design decisions, work with APIs and schemas, and collaborate across product and operations teams to deliver robust software. Expect fast learning, strong code reviews, and independence in ambiguous settings.

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer with solid fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with React/Next.js.
• Understanding of APIs, networking, databases, distributed systems, and security.
• Hands-on API/schema/service-boundary design.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work independently with ambiguous requirements.
• AI-native development approach.
• Strong verification and code-review discipline.
• Ability to switch between languages as needed.
• English: C1+.

Responsibilities

• Turn broad product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Take ownership of features from design through production.
• Defend architecture and API decisions, including schemas and boundaries.
• Use AI agents to plan, implement, test, and refactor solutions.
• Review AI-generated code for edge cases, security, and quality.
• Maintain high engineering standards in AI-assisted codebase.
• Debug production issues using telemetry and observability tools.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, DevOps, and QA.
• Adapt quickly to unfamiliar technologies and ecosystems.
• Communicate technical decisions and progress clearly.
