Job summary

Aether Biomedical is seeking a Senior Go Backend Engineer to design and maintain scalable backend services powering a modern Hardware-as-a-Service platform. You will own services from development through production in a remote-first environment.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Frontend teams to deliver high-impact features while maintaining reliability and performance across cloud deployments, CI/CD, and automated testing practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Go.
• Proven experience developing high-scale web applications and APIs.
• Strong REST API design and backend architecture knowledge.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience deploying and running services in cloud environments.
• Familiar with a 'you build it, you run it' setup.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Go.
• Build and evolve high-performance APIs powering customer-facing apps.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of production systems.
• Collaborate with Product and Frontend teams to deliver features.
• Take ownership of services in production (monitoring, troubleshooting, improvements).
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, Docker, and cloud deployments.
