Nesto Group is a leading mortgage tech provider with a remote-first engineering team al, focused on building Maestro, our AI underwriting and lending engine. You will own major AI-driven features, design agentic workflows, and contribute to scalable platform architecture from anywhere in Canada.

The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong backend/API skills, and hands-on experience with Python and LLMs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong backend and API skills.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LLMs in production.
• A data science, data analysis, or statistics background.
• Experience with model implementation, monitoring, and evaluation across the full lifecycle.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including testing, design patterns, and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead major features and projects end-to-end, surfacing trade-offs clearly so delivery stays on track.
• Design and optimize agentic AI workflows with deterministic rules & LLM perception
• Build and own evaluation pipelines, including golden sets and online/offline evals.
• Shape architecture decisions for the AI agent platform with high technical standards.
• Write and ship code quickly using AI tooling and agent harnesses.
• Mentor peers and collaborate with cross-functional teammates to hit delivery timelines.
