Job summary

Premera Blue Cross in the United States is hiring an AI Engineer IV to lead AI/ML initiatives from concept to production within a remote-capable team. You will guide solutioning, mentor junior engineers, and ensure scalable AI infrastructure while staying current with the latest research.

You’ll develop low-latency APIs, design cloud data pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business value with governance and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or 2+ years in a related IT/analytics role.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry AI/ML experience, with productionization of models.

Responsibilities

• Propose AI/ML systems and frameworks for applications.
• Lead prototypes and MVP development to validate AI/ML solutions.
• Assist in designing cloud architecture for large AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines for AI workflows.
• Develop low-latency APIs and services to deploy AI models.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer reviews.
• Guide AI engineering best practices and governance.
