Job summary

Premera Blue Cross seeks an experienced AI Engineer IV to lead AI/ML initiatives from concept to production. You will guide solution ideation, prototype AI products, and build reliable AI infrastructure with strong software engineering practices.

You’ll mentor engineers, stay current with AI research, and collaborate to govern AI strategy and roadmaps while enabling scalable, high-performance AI systems from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years IT/analytics.
• 5+ years in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML systems; can substitute AI Master’s/PhD for up to 2 years.
• Deep learning frameworks experience and modern ML tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI applications and comprehensive systems frameworks.
• Lead prototypes and MVPs to validate AI/ML solutions.
• Design cloud architecture for large multi-faceted AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines powering AI workloads.
• Develop low-latency APIs/services to deploy AI models.
• Monitor AI systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Mentor engineers and conduct peer reviews.
