Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior AI leader to drive forward-deployed AI programs inside health plans and payer operations, aligning claims, utilization, and care management with analytics leaders from architecture through adoption.

You will design for trust, scale AI across core administrative platforms, and collaborate with executives to set strategy and adoption roadmaps that deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience with cloud-native systems (APIs, microservices, containerization, serverless) including AI platforms and agentic solutions in production.
• 8+ years of coding experience in Python or Java and ability to learn others on engagements.
• 8+ years of production deployment experience (CI/CD, infrastructure as code with Terraform/Helm), monitoring and debugging in client environments.
• 3+ years delivering AI or technology programs inside payer organizations.
• 3+ years using Claude or an equivalent frontier AI tool for practical work.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead forward-deployed pods and AI programs end-to-end inside health plans, PBMs, and payer operations across multiple streams.
• Scope the program: define the problem, outcome, and where AI can automate or augment work.
• Set and govern the technical architecture across core administrative, claims, and clinical platforms.
• Design for trust: ensure safety, compliance, fairness, and PHI safeguards in AI solutions.
• Reimagine the future of working for operations and clinical teams; drive adoption and outcomes.
• Shape interoperability and how plans, providers, and the ecosystem connect around data.
• Lead and develop the team; set delivery standards and coach engineers.
• Collaborate with CIO/CFO/CMO and health-plan leadership to shape AI reinvention strategy and roadmaps.
• Build reusable methods, blueprints, and accelerators to scale across payer engagements.
