Job summary

Accenture is seeking an AI Native Engineer to advance data & AI programs inside provider organizations and health plans. You will design, deploy, and govern AI solutions within clinical and administrative workflows, focusing on interoperability, safety, and measurable outcomes.

Travel may be required as projects evolve. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in cloud-native engineering, hands-on AI tooling experience, and production deployment ownership in payer environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering with cloud-native systems - APIs, microservices, containerization, and serverless.
• Experience with AI platforms (Claude, OpenAI, Vertex AI) and at least 1 year deploying agentic solutions (agents, orchestration, RAG, workflows).
• 3+ years coding in Python or Java; ability to pick up others as needed.
• 3+ years production deployment experience - CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, debugging with ownership in client environments.
• 1+ year delivering AI/tech programs inside payer organizations.
• 1+ year hands-on experience using frontier AI tools for real work.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or 12+ years experience alternative.

Responsibilities

• Embed with provider and payer teams inside health systems to co-create AI-enabled solutions.
• Scope programs: define problems, outcomes, and success metrics for AI deployment.
• Set technical architecture for AI programs and communicate to engineers and clinical leaders.
• Design for trust with PHI safeguards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Reimagine ways of working for clinical and admin teams beyond automation of today.
• Shape interoperability and data exchange standards for healthcare AI.
• Turn engagements into reusable methodologies and accelerators.
