Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to lead the delivery of enterprise AI products and platform services. You will design and build agentic applications, governance-compliant pipelines, and reusable components across Nexus, Accio, Libros, and PRISM.

You will own end-to-end business applications on the AI stack for named domains, drive SaaS decommissioning where needed, and ensure secure, observable, and scalable implementations with strong collaboration across

Qualifications

• Six+ years in software, data, or platform engineering and a record of shipping production systems.
• Production experience with LLM applications and agentic systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience owning services in production—monitoring, incident investigation, upgrades, lifecycle management.
• Experience with Azure cloud and containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, RBAC, and secret management.
• Mentoring engineers and leading technical work without direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Build and run AI products and platform end-to-end, taking workstreams through to live operation.
• Engineer agentic applications and the orchestration layer for scalable workflows.
• Build evaluation, observability, and release evidence for AI systems in production.
• Mentor AI Engineers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Percepta engineers on Libros, PRISM, and related estate to ensure consistent standards.
