Job summary

SFL Scientific, a Deloitte Business, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy robust AI infrastructure and data pipelines for diverse ML applications. You will work with data scientists, ML engineers, project managers, and industry experts to deliver scalable solutions across multiple industries.

The role emphasizes cloud/on-prem architectures, modern data practices, and collaboration to advance AI capabilities within a consultative, platform-agnostic framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in data engineering, data science or AI deployment.
• 4+ years designing cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 4+ years programming with Linux Shell/CLI, Python, SQL, PowerShell.
• 2+ years experience leading technical delivery teams.
• 2+ years DevOps with Puppet/Ansible/Chef, etc.
• 2+ years ETL/ELT data pipelines (relational/NoSQL).
• 2+ years deployment/optimization: Kubernetes, Docker, ML tooling.
• Live within commuting distance to Deloitte offices.
• Ability to travel ~10% depending on client needs.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy architectures for ML/automation apps.
• Leverage modern data architecture and cloud/on-prem data solutions.
• Lead scalable data architectures supporting AI/GenAI use cases.
• Define schemas and pipelines for scalable algorithm deployment.
• Participate in architecture discussions for security and reliability.
• Adopt best practices in automation, HPC and AI infrastructure.
• Lead proofs of concept for new data and cloud tech feasibility.
• Demonstrate leadership and modern data architecture principles.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster professional development.
