DrFirst seeks a senior engineering leader to architect and ship production AI automation systems across departments. You will own technical decisions, mentor 2–3 engineers, and teach non-technical leaders how to leverage AI tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production systems end-to-end (backend, frontend, integrations, infrastructure).
• Staff/Principal Engineer or Tech Lead experience.
• Shipped SaaS with OAuth2, multi-tenancy, audit trails, and enterprise compliance.
• Deep AI/ML in production with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Production Python: FastAPI, Pydantic, httpx, pytest (1000+ tests).
• Production TS/React: Next.js, SSO, Playwright testing.
• AWS/Kubernetes: EKS, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm, Secrets Manager.
• Security patterns: proxies, SSL, Kubernetes networking, JWKS.
• Regulated industry experience (HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Strong communication: discovery sessions with stakeholders, explain security to executives.
• Servant leadership: remove blockers, teach via pairing, enable stakeholders.
• Chaos management: 15 stakeholders, 6 systems, 3 sprints.
• Shipping bias: deliver value quickly.
• Collaborative mindset: welcome challenge and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement production AI automation systems end-to-end.
